Grand Master Master Ricardo Almonte

Head Instructor

As an educator, I am very passionate about coaching my students to develop themselves into human beings who are life champions. This is true in my high school classes as well as my martial arts classes. At Cho’s Taekwondo Academy Children and adults learn so much more than just kicking and punching. It’s about developing confidence, discipline, character, focus and respect. It is a way of life of self development. Students do not simply “get” a black belt. They “become” black belts.

Instructor Javier Vargas

Early Childhood Coordinator

Mr Vargas is a martial arts instructor with extensive experience training children and adults. Parents love Mr. Vargas’ kickboxing classes as he teaches with passion and energy. “I love to see the positive impact our classes have in the whole family and especially how I can be part of that by teaching kickboxing to my adult students and taekwondo to their children as well.” Mr. Vargas believes that there is nothing better than seeing his students grow firsthand. But more important than the martial arts skills they learn, is the personal skills they develop and carry for life.

Instructor H.L. Lee

Adult Program Coordinator

Mr. Lee is a highly qualified instructor that applies his expertise to make each class fun and energetic, yet motivating and confidence-building. He loves to help his students grow in mind, body and character with every class he teaches. “I believe in providing instant positive feedback in all my classes. That is how students instantly see and feel a difference, making them destined to build confidence, self-awareness and self-respect which will allow them to defend themselves in any situation.”

Instructor Andrew Guevara

Championship Team Coach

Mr. Guevara creates a POSITIVE, safe, injury-free training environment when teaching the championship team. He loves to see how students improve and compete within themselves to build a blueprint for a successful life based on discipline, focus, and perseverance. “Some people think that the martial arts are just about fighting, but when you train in our classes, you take advantage of the best self-improvement system in the world.”
